Anthem-AMA vom 06.03.2019 – Zusammenfassung: Infos zum Patch vom 12.03.2019
Gestern Abend gabs ein neues AMA mit den Entwicklern von Anthem, dieses Mal rund um den kommenden Patch. Aufzeichnung gibts auf Twitch, auf Reddit hat ein User außerdem noch die wichtigsten Punkte zusammengefasst, hab paar wichtige Sachen daraus auch auf Deutsch übersetzt.
- Der nächste Patch soll am 12.03.2019 kommen.
- Er wird viele Crash Fixes bringen.
- Der Patch wird rund 300 Änderungen beinhalten.
- In allen Absturzfällen bei der PS4 wurde festgestellt, dass sich die PS4 wieder anschalten lässt.
- Die Level 1 Defender Rifle macht zu viel Schaden. Ist ein Bug, wird gefixt.
- Ab dem Patch wird es möglich sein, Expeditionen von überall aus Fort Tarsis heraus zu starten, so als wäre man in einer Gruppe.
- Inschriften und Drop-Raten werden nach wie vor beobachtet.
- GM2 und GM3 fühlen sich nicht so belohnend an wie gewollt. Das schaut man sich an.
- Gewöhnliche und ungewöhnliche Items werden mit dem Patch aus den Level 30 Drop Tables entfernt.
Summary of the developer stream in order of discussion:
Next patch will have a lot of crash fixes and is scheduled for March 12th.
In all instances of the PS4’s hard crashing they’ve discovered the PS4 CAN be powered back on.
The Level 1 Defender rifle is doing too much damage, it’s a bug, it’s being fixed (and is an easy fix.)
In the upcoming patch you’ll be able to start Expedition as if you were in a group from anywhere in Fort Tarsis.
They’re still monitoring inscriptions and drop rates.
GM2 and GM3 don’t feel as rewarding as they’d like them to be right now, it’s being looked into.
Crashing into the ground from things like running into walls or Overheating will no longer have as long of a recovery animation when landing for Colossus (unconfirmed if this is the case for all Javelins.)
There are around 300 changes in the upcoming patch notes, sometimes 5 changes can equate to 1 patch note.
The crash and stability team is currently focusing on console crashes, but they are looking into PC as well.
Many improvements have been made to Quickplay backfilling (i.e. loading into dead missions) – they’ve fixed what they know about and hopefully that is all or at least most of them.
Freeplay „server shutdown“ missions have been changed to not happen until the server is actually going to shutdown.
„Open Cortex and track X“ will no longer appear in Freeplay.
Common and Uncommon items will be removed at level 30 in the upcoming patch.
The Combat Team will be releasing a guide on how inscriptions work, it will be posted to Reddit today. (3/6)
A random/quickplay Strongholds will be reintroduced with the upcoming patch. In the future they’d like to do extra rewards for quickplay Strongholds.
Mouse button 4 is no longer bound to the back button for PC players.
Problems with respawning behind a blocked off wall should be gone or significantly reduced.
Bugged ultimate bar/ultimate bar being full at load in is fixed.
Colossus can now shield charge through destructible objects (such as barrels.)
You can now prime Titans (in the upcoming patch.)
Mark of Ruin is now functioning properly.
Ranger grenadier component now actually reduces the cool-down of grenades.
Base damage of most Masterwork weapons has been buffed to compensate for higher difficulty levels.
„It’s frustrating being downed and not being able to do anything as a player.“ – We’ve removed as many of the respawn restricted areas as we can from the whole game and just added a timer. For example if you’re in a Stronghold and you go down, there is now a 30 second timer. There will still be a few missions where we had to leave the restriction in. This is a short term fix, they want to improve the overall experience of being downed.
„GM2 and GM3 changes when?“ We don’t have anything to announce yet, we’d like to get ideas from the community into a consolidated thread so we can implement a plan.
„Next content drop?“ There are many things slated for March, our plan is to still release things listed in the 90 day roadmap. Our goal is to have Elysian Chests in the game by the end of the month.
„Any word about events?“ There Be Giants is an event we’ve run and plan to run again. We’ve been toying around with smaller changes to Freeplay with plans for larger events in the future. Limited Time Events will happen. For example Outlaw Outrage has a named Outlaw that drops better loot roaming Freeplay. We’ve decided it would be better to have a smaller area on the map that we direct you to for Freeplay Events in the future.
„Support gear, what’s the deal?“ We would like to add Masterwork support gear ’soonish‘ – there’s no timeline on it but it is being discussed.
„Stats page?“ Yes we think we should add a stat page, we know it’s important. We’ve been talking about it long before the Reddit posts started to show up. There’s no timing for it currently, but we recognize the community is right in that a stats page is very important.
„Sound bugs?“ We’ve found a whole bunch of sound bugs that caused the game’s audio to mute and fixed a lot of them, no promises that ALL have been fixed but hopefully they have.
„What about the health bar glitch?“ This hasn’t been fixed yet.
„Ultimate buff!“ One of the things that we weren’t happy about is how some combat abilities don’t have scaling – i.e. there is no melee ability item, no ultimate ability item etc. Particularly the Ranger’s ultimate and Interceptor melee – we’ve improved that scaling. As part of doing that we’ve had to change some of the itemization, so you will see different power levels than you’ve seen before. Instead of a 45 power level you should now see a 61 there. This doesn’t affect your overall build and is strictly for damage scaling.
„Does that make GM3 easier now?“ Your melee and ultimates should do more damage.
„Windwall blocks Ranger ult?“ Also fixed. We’ve noticed nobody uses Windwall or Bulwark Point in higher difficulties, so we’ve increased the damage absorbed so that they are hopefully more useful in higher difficulties. In exchange for this damage absorption we’ve lessened the length of time the abilities are up.
„Ongoing progression, where is our XP going?“ We have plans that we can talk about later on and want to extend progression. Part of that is ‚What happens to XP?‘
„Is Gunslingers Mark going to get fixed?“ There was an unintended mechanic where you could stack Gunslingers Mark infinitely, it’s been fixed this patch.
„Please make Ranger melee a detonator.“ I personally love that Ranger’s melee is a primer, I like to run, jump in, melee attack then dash back and detonate with an ability. We understand that the Ranger is under-performing right now with upcoming ideas to fix this.
„Yarrow dance as an emote?“ I’ll pass it on.
„Patch notes when?“ Patch notes will be available when the patch goes live.
„DLSS support?“ It’s not in this patch but coming soon.
We’ve heard feedback about the store, we’re just trying to figure out what to do about it. We hear the feedback, we just need to work out new options.
We’re still very open to making changes to loot drops, it’s better in our mind to make a change then watch it, make a change then watch it and so on. We’re hoping removing uncommon and common items from the loot pool will help, as well as reviewing GM2 and GM3, unfortunately GM2/GM3 changes will not be in this upcoming patch or the one after.
